Dr Robson is a nephrologist with clinical and research interests in both glomerulonephritis and haemodialysis. He has a long record of laboratory research in experimental glomerulonephritis and is one of the lead consultants for a specialist clinic for patients with lupus, vasculitis and glomerular disease. He also responsibility for a cohort of haemodialysis patients and was the Chief Investigator for the UK-wide PAVE trial, assessing drug-coated balloons in the treatment of arteriovenous fistulas.
He is currently developing proposals for clinical trials in both lupus nephritis and vascular access for haemodialysis.
