Course overview
The use of digital technology to achieve health objectives is a rapidly developing area and one that is increasingly impacting of professional healthcare practice.
The focus of this module is developing a greater understanding of the transformative potential and limits of both existing and emerging technological innovations and how to adopt, use and apply these into practice in different healthcare settings. How digital technologies are assessed for the opportunities and challenges they present to improve quality, safety and efficiency are also explored.

- Present a critical analysis of the core principles that drive the utilisation and development of healthcare technologies.
- Provide an analysis of factors that govern choice and influence implementation of health technologies in practice principles
- Be able to provide a critical evaluation of a selection of health technologies utilised in practice

This module is offered as part of King’s College London’s flexible postgraduate awards in Professional Development. - A 2.2 honours degree or international equivalent
- A CV and personal statement outlining your reasons for study

- A professional registration in nursing or another allied health profession.
Please note that the above route is optional. You may still take the module as a standalone course within the faculty. You will not be permitted to count credit from this module towards a Professional Development award if you have already used it, or intend to use it, as part of a faculty-based award.
