Course overview
By studying Italian Level 5, you will be able to understand authentic speech with ease and communicate confidently on a variety of subjects using a wide range of vocabulary and complex grammatical structures, be able to read extracts from authentic literature with almost 100% understanding, be able to write a number of complex texts in different registers with high degree of accuracy, employing a wide range of structures and vocabulary and have further developed intercultural competence and be conversant with a variety of issues in Italian speaking countries.

Recounting personal experiences and events in the past
Expressing surprise, regret, agreement, and disagreement
Describing a procedure
Talking about one’s preferences
Reporting facts and statistics
Narrating a historical event
Describing one’s jobs
Expressing formal requests and responses
Grammar may include:
Revision of all tenses in Italian
Revision of relative pronouns
Some idiomatic verbs
Indefinite adjective and pronouns
Future perfect
Passive and impersonal construction
Subjunctive with indefinite pronouns, superlatives, and relative clauses
Introduction to reported speech
What will I achieve?
When Italian Level 5 is complete, you will achieve the equivalent of B2/C1 level of the CEFR, level 4 of the RQF.
