Ever dreamed of leading a social enterprise that not only makes a difference but thrives economically? This course is your key to unlocking the secrets of successful social enterprise leadership. Social entrepreneurs play a crucial role in addressing numerous social and economic issues, from the COVID-19 pandemic response, to addressing climate change concerns and environmental sustainability, to enhancing government functions through innovation. We know consumers are increasingly looking for products and services that align with their own social and environmental values, and social entrepreneurs are helping meet this demand and lead the way in helping provide socially responsible businesses. In this course, you will delve deep into the intricacies of devising and executing strategic initiatives within the context of social enterprises.   

What does this course cover?

During three days of intensive workshops and seminars, you will learn how to:

  • Balance profit-making with social goals in social enterprises, and creating innovative approaches to handle conflicts between business and social objectives.
  • Implement best practices in recruitment strategies and motivational techniques tailored to the unique organisational dynamics of social enterprises.
  • Analyse the nuanced aspects of financial management and fundraising strategies crucial for sustaining and enhancing the viability of social enterprises.

What is the teaching schedule?

This 3-day course will take place in a classroom setting, with possible evening activities (tbc). Engage in a dynamic mix of discussions, debates, talks, and Q&As, culminating in a team challenge and presentation.

Fees and discounts

The course fee is £1800, with a 15% discount available for King’s College London alumni, current students, and current staff. If you enroll by 1 July, you can access an early bird discount of 10% (not combinable with other discounts).
