Do you want to build on your skills and explore a sector of interest? The Student Opportunity Fund grants undergraduate and post graduate taught students up to £500 for individuals and £1000 for groups to undertake educational projects or initiatives that will help transform or enable their future career and study aspirations.
What is it?
The Student Opportunity Fund gives King’s students the opportunity to undertake educational projects or initiatives, that will transform or enable their future career and study aspirations. The fund allows King’s students to collaborate with each other and the wider King’s community. Previous activities include courses, conferences, internships, volunteering, and research projects. We particularly welcome projects which promote or increase awareness of race equality and inclusion in the workplace.
Who is eligible?
The Student Opportunity Fund is open to all undergraduate and taught postgraduate students.
We particularly welcome applications from students from backgrounds underrepresented at King's. We have ringfenced 20% of the funding specifically for Black students, including from Black African, Black Caribbean, Black Other and Black Mixed backgrounds, to address the specific disadvantages faced by some students.
