Physics

Students from the Department of Physics on the following programmes have the opportunity to study abroad for a full year: - BSc Physics - BSc Physics and Philosophy - MSci Physics - MSci Physics with Theoretical Physics. BSc students add an extra year to their degree and will therefore study abroad in their third year and return to King's for a fourth and final year. MSci students replace their third year at King's with the year abroad, adding no extra time to the degree. The only MSci programmes eligible for study abroad are MSci Physics and MSci Physics with Theoretical Physics. Students on the BSc Physics & Philosophy programme follow the Physics destinations.

Module requirements

1) BSc with the year abroad: there are no compulsory modules. 2) MSci Physics & MSci Physics with Theoretical Physics: MSci students can spend their third year in another university. In this case students need to take modules that are (more or less) equivalent to the ones that are offered to third year students at KCL. In particular, 6 modules are compulsory, students can check those modules on KEATS and should consult their study abroad tutor and department before applying to study abroad.
