The Pre-University Taster is a unique opportunity to explore a subject at undergraduate level. It will run from 6 - 9 August 2018 making it perfect for those with busy summers.
What can I study?
Students can choose one of the following areas of study:
This programme is for students enrolled in years 11 and 12, typically aged 16 and 17. Students must be aged 16 as of 1 September 2018. To apply to this programme students will need to provide:
- Official confirmation of high school grades
- Personal statement
- Reference letter from school
- GCSE English Grade C (or equivalent)
To ensure the safety and well-being of all, students will be required adhere to our code of conduct. This outlines the programme rules and regulations, expected behaviour and conduct towards fellow students and staff members. If the code of conduct is broken, parents will be informed and the student may be removed from the programme. Please see our Parent Information and Consent Form.
Please note that paying the programme fees is taken as acceptance of the student code of conduct and consent for the student’s participation in the programme.
The fees will be £300 which will include: 12 hours tuition, a relevant course excursion/activity, daily meal card for lunch and optional admissions advice sessions.

How to apply
Applications should be made online through King's Apply - our online application portal. We recommend you follow the application guidelines to help you submit your application successfully. These can be found on our How to Apply page.
The application deadline is 31 May 2018, however early application is strongly advised. There are only a limited number of places available on each course and applicants who meet the entry criteria will be offered a place on a first come, first served basis. Please note that applications will not be processed until all documentation has been provided. Places are secured once the programme fee has been paid in full.
