Pre-University Safeguarding and Supervision
We are committed to the health, safety, security and wellbeing of young people who participate in our Summer Programmes. Safeguarding arrangements are overseen by the Designated Safeguarding Officers.
Students are also assigned dedicated Summer Assistants throughout the programme. They support and supervise students at all times, other than when they are in their rooms and during scheduled independent time. This includes all extracurricular activities on and off site. Students staying in King’s residences have 24-hour support provided by Summer Assistants who will stay in campus accommodation alongside Summer School students.
Further information on safeguarding can be found in Information for Applicants, under Policies. If you have any questions regarding safety or supervision, please contact us.
With so many things to do in London, budgeting can be a challenge. It can be a good idea to plan in advance and get a picture of the financial cost of living in London. Living expenses will depend on the choices of the student and although London can be expensive, there are opportunities to get the best out of London on a limited budget.
For students on the Pre-University Summer School, breakfast and dinner are provided as part of the accommodation package. Students need to consider allocating money for other meals and consumables. We also encourage students to bring a small amount of spending money for gifts. Please be advised that many shops and restaurants in London are cashless and may accept only payments by card.
