European Week 2013: A European Meltdown?

An independent student-led discussion forum, this is a unique opportunity to debate and analyse European affairs with renowned members of international institutions, national governments and civil society from across the continent. Each panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer session chaired by senior members of the School of Arts & Humanities and open to all. 

Human Rights Night: Is Europe still a beacon for Human Rights?

Guest speakers: François Zimeray (Ambassador for Human Rights, French Embassy), Dr Michael Addo (Senior Lecturer, University of Exeter and member of the United Nations Working Group on the Issue of Human Rights and Transnational Corporations) and Benjamin Ward (Deputy Director, Europe and Central Asia Division, Human Rights Watch)

Chair: Professor Christoph Meyer (Professor in European & International Politics, King's College London)

There will be a reception following the event (spaces limited).

European Week 2013 is funded by the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence.
