In addition to the main research areas represented by our
six research groups (Agents
and Intelligent Systems
for Robotics Research
for Telecommunications Research
Modelling and Applied Logic
), there are various groupings of researchers in
the Department working on different research themes.
Details of some of these research themes are given below.
Adaptive Networks and Systems
This cross-disciplinary research theme focuses on advanced
modelling, analysis, prediction and visualisation approaches inspired by and
applied to complex adaptive networks and systems.
Structure and Search (NESS)
This research theme is based around modelling and exploring
large networks, network algorithms and random processes on networks.
The aim of this research theme is to identify important
challenges in software development and pursue high quality research while
addressing those challenges.
