Biography

Fellow of Institute of Physics, Member of London Mathematical Society. 

Current Position: Professor of Theoretical Physics

Degree in Physics, University of Athens; DIC, Imperial College; PhD in Mathematics, King's College London.

Postdoctoral researcher at Queen Mary College, Physics  Department; King's College London, Mathematics Department;  II Institute for Theoretical Physics, University of Hamburg, Desy.

Royal Society Research Fellow, DAMTP, University of Cambridge and Department of Mathematics, King's College London.

Research Interests

George's research interests are in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, and include string theory, M-theory, supergravity, and the geometrical aspects of supersymmetry.  His current research is focused on the classification of supersymmetric solutions of gravity theories, the understanding of special geometry, and the investigation of uniqueness theorems for black holes.
