Postgraduate Study in Analysis
Supervision is available in all areas of research undertaken by the group. Our students regularly go on to successful research careers in Mathematics, as well as careers in other areas such as banking and finance in which a PhD in Mathematics is seen as a very desirable qualification.
King's College London offers a one-year (full time) or two-year (part-time) MSc programme in Mathematics.
This programme consists of eight taught courses and a project. A wide range of taught courses is available, including several courses in analysis.
The PhD degree in Mathematics
is a research degree which usually requires three years of full-time research. Members of the Analysis group supervise PhD students working on various aspects of analysis.
King's College London also participates in the London Taught Course Centre which offers advanced courses for PhD students in mathematics, including several courses that are relevant for research in analysis. London is one of the most active centres of research in analysis in the world, combining the strength of several colleges. The analysis community in London organises the London Analysis Seminar which is held alternately at King's College, Imperial College and University College.
