Book Launch: Berkshire Dictionary of Chinese Biography

On behalf of the Society for Anglo-Chinese Understanding (SACU), SACU member Dr. Kerry Brown will present the London and UK launch of the Berkshire Dictionary of Chinese Biography, a major new scholarly resource profiling over 100 major figures who have shaped Chinese history over the last four thousand years.

Kerry will speak about the idea behind the book, and outline its contents, and SACU Vice President Dr Frances Wood, one of the UK's leading scholars on China, will present on one of the most striking of all Chinese historical figures - the man who first unified China two millenia ago, the First Emperor Qin Shihuang.

This event is co-sponsored by SACU and the Lau China Institute's Centre for Chinese Governance Innovation.
