Biography
Richard Moore is a visiting research fellow in the CSSS. He studied at Cambridge and Hull and his PhD dissertation on The Royal Navy and Nuclear Weapons was published by Frank Cass in 2001. His second book Nuclear Illusion, Nuclear Reality: Britain, the United States and Nuclear Weapons 1958-64 was completed as part of a nuclear history project at the Mountbatten Centre for International Studies at Southampton, and published by Palgrave in 2010. His research interests are in British defence and especially nuclear history, focusing on technology and the interplay between technological, military and political drivers.
