Briefly, tell us about your background and career up to this point?
I have worked in FoLSM as the Student Experience Manager for eight years now (which isn’t that long when you consider Covid and two children occurred during that time). Before that I worked at Royal Holloway UoL for 12 years in central roles with varied experiences ranging from living on campus as a Warden and attending Harvard’s Orientation Week as a sector observer! I have a BSc Applied Psychology (I still have my dissertation on a floppy disc) and an incredibly useful MA Student Affairs in Higher Education. More recently I completed the Charity Board Leadership Programme at King’s and look forward to navigating a voluntary role as a School Governor.
Do you have any current projects that you’d like to tell us about?
I am really excited about Welcome 2024! The team is new this year and we have lots of fresh branding, new events and ideas! Do follow us on Instagram @folsmstudentexperience
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Finishing Kingston Half Marathon before they reopened the roads.
What do you do with your time outside academia/work?
This can range from soft play to a nice restaurant. I do like a music concert (loved seeing the Killer’s recently) and have just started Karate classes - I like to start something new in September.
What is something positive that happened to you over the last year?
King’s childcare benefits were significantly enhanced.
What is your favourite thing about working at King’s?
The opportunities and networks available. I sit on the ELEVATE committee and via the network have met some really inspiring and interesting people across the University.
