Institute's Professor of Practice named in Evening Standard Progress 1000
Stefan Allesch-Taylor CBE, the Entrepreneurship Institute's Professor of Practice, has been named in the 2017 Progress 1000 - the Evening Standard's list of London's most influencial people.

Stefan is one of 13 people recognised as 'Social Pillars' for their work in charity and philanthropy:
"As chief executive of Fairfax, Allesch-Taylor became one of the Square Mile’s foremost financiers. But he quit in 2009 and subsequently founded Afri-Can, a charity specialising in sustainability projects aimed at helping vulnerable children and adults in South Africa and Malawi. Other charitable endeavours followed, as well as an award-winning chain of coffee shops. Allesch-Taylor was appointed by King’s College London’s Entrepreneurship Institute as its first Professor of Practice in December 2016."

Speaking about the achievement, Stefan said;
'I'm pleased to be recognised in such an esteemed list of London's leading figures. Businesses today need to be socially impactful and entrepreneurship particularly can create real solutions to tackling social injustice around the world.'
Stefan supports the Institute through his Professorship, mentorship of early-stage startups on the King's20 accelerator and the Allesch-Taylor Scholarships for Entrepreneurship. Read Stefan's opinion piece in the Institute's Start! magazine.
