King’s distinctive approach leverages the university’s cultural connections and the reach of King’s Health Partners to support innovative research, trial arts-based health interventions and support the development of the healthcare professionals of the future.

King’s provides opportunities for its community and cultural partners to ask questions, test ideas, pool expertise, collaborate and co-produce new creative digital outputs. This drives new research and education, supports the university to forge partnerships with creative and digital industries in London and beyond and puts digital creativity at the heart of our real and virtual classrooms and students’ success.

Science Gallery London is a place to grow new ideas across art, science and health. It is King’s College London’s flagship public space that brings together academics, researchers and students with local communities and artists in surprising and innovative ways, presenting exhibitions, events, performances, live experiments, open discussions and festivals. Science Gallery London works in partnership to explore complex challenges and foster innovation, collaboration and inclusion. It is part of the Global Science Gallery Network, which connects King’s to communities worldwide. There are eight Science Galleries across the world, and each is a platform for live research and experimentation – exposing local communities to unexpected and surprising exhibitions and inspiring the next generation of creative thinkers. Following a temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Science Gallery London's doors are now open and once again visitors can explore exhibitions and events for free.

Connecting a series of venues across the Strand campus including the Inigo Rooms and the Arcade and Exchange in Bush House. The Strand Cultural Quarter currently exists as both a physical and programme-based hub. With a number of key spaces across the Strand Campus that are used on a regular basis for cultural activity, the projects presented across the quarter aim to maximise interdisciplinary work between Strand-based faculties, engage high profile key partners on a regular basis, and provide an ongoing cultural programme that is meaningful to students, the academic community and the sector, providing an effective platform to amplify King’s research and education.

The Arts and Conflict Hub based in the Department of War Studies at King's provides a focal point for work exploring the relationship between the arts and conflict, including visual arts, dance, music, theatre and film.

The Cultural Advocates are representatives within each faculty at King's who work with King’s Culture in supporting the cultural community. Raising the profile of cultural initiatives and opportunities to colleagues across their faculty, they ensure that researchers are supported in culturally-engaged activities, and enable the Culture team to work with a focus on faculty priorities.
