I am proud to know that my contribution will help improve education and grow society for years to come. A high -quality education will give African youth a choice in their own futures – as well as the power to tackle the biggest issues of our time.

Aare Afe Babalola | Founder of Afe Babalola & Co (Emmanuel Chambers) and Pro-Chancellor of Afe Babalola University

There has never been a more important time in modern history for great institutions and individuals to make a full contribution to society. Problems, and opportunities to solve them, are immense.

King’s College London has been making the world a better place for almost 200 years. Since our foundation in 1829, King’s students and staff have dedicated themselves in the service of society. We serve the world by educating students with the character and wisdom to use their knowledge for the benefit of others. However, we know that we do more, and do it better, when working together.

Creating change through education and research requires collaboration with students, parents, charitable organisations, businesses and individuals who share our ambitions.

Stay in touch with the development of the Centre and its impact by emailing us and watch this space for updates on the ways you can get involved.

Aare Afe Babalola’s iconic career over six decades since he graduated from the University of London and qualified at the English Bar has been dedicated to the power of education. His extraordinary achievements as a lawyer and educationalist, and to public service at the highest level, remain an inspiration to young people across the globe, especially in Africa. The legal community at King’s and the University of London are immensely proud and privileged to take forward his vision for an African Centre for Transnational Education.
