The Fison Memorial Lecture

The Fison Memorial Lecture is given annually in memory of Alfred Henry Fison, a lecturer in Physics at Guy's in the early 1900s. After his death in 1923 his friends at Guy's Hospital and the School of Medicine suggested that a permanent memorial be established and so the Fison Memorial Lecture was set up.

Lectures have been given on a variety of themes by many eminent speakers, often reflecting Fison's interest in philosophy as well as in science and medicine.
