Nehru Memorial Lecture series

The Nehru Memorial Lecture was endowed by the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Trust in 1969.

The annual lecture is given in memory of India’s first Prime Minister by a distinguished scholar, scientist or administrator from the UK or India.

At the 2023 lecture, Professor Madhavan K Palat, editor of the Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru, spoke on Nehru’s thoughts and dilemmas on democracy.

The Inlaks-King's India Institute Studentship

The Inlaks-King's India Institute Studentship will enable scholars currently enrolled in PhD programmes at Indian universities to undertake a short-term visit to the King’s India Institute, in order to collect material, use facilities and consult experts towards their research for their PhDs.

The Studentship offers financial support to candidates for a period of up to three months, including travel and health allowance, maintenance expenses, and funds for materials.
