 About Dr. Dailey

I joined King's as a Lecturer in Drug Delivery in 2005 following a post doc at Nektar Therapeutics (now Novartis) in San Carlos, CA, USA, and a PhD on the topic of the development and assessment of inhaled polymeric nanomedicines from the Philipps University, Marburg, Germany.

My research interests can be divided into two main areas:

1)  Assessing the health impacts of nanomedicines, including the characterisation of interactions between drug delivery vehicles and the physiology environment.

2)  Nitric oxide chemistry, biology and delivery to the cardiovascular system.

I belong to a number of scientific socities, notably as a member of the International Association for Pharmaceutical Technology-Drug Delivery Focus Group and as a Lecturer in the MRC-HPA Centre for Environment and Health. An interest in public engagement with science led me to recently become a Public Engagement Ambassador for the UK-wide National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement.
