One student commented:
"Attending the course brought alive for me many areas of drug development both through lectures from experts in the field and as a result of completing course-work on specific topics. There were common themes running through the course which were applied in different contexts; one of the most important included the need to maintain an environment in which the needs and well-being of patients are respected in a world where science and technology are evolving. The course has helped me appreciate how the different aspects of drug development integrate, from structural design of a molecule through to product launch and beyond, providing me with a basis for more informed interaction with less familiar functional areas. I enjoyed being introduced to new topics where information was introduced in a way which did not instantly overwhelm and was well explained, whilst the interactive workshops during teaching days provided a good opportunity to work with other students from a variety of backgrounds. There was something new to learn even in areas that were more familiar, making this course suitable for students at different stages of their working lives."
