Triple Awards for King's

King’s College London has won three major Knowledge Transfer Partnership awards (KTP) with a total value in excess of £560,000:

  • Professor Justin Dillon, Department of Education and Professional Studies and the Engineering and Industry Training Board will be looking at ways to support engineering companies in educational engagement throughout the UK
  • Dr Kawal Rhode, Imaging Sciences, together with Dr Ying Liang Ma and Biomedical Engineering with Technomed Ltd are working to develop a novel patient monitoring and management system
  • Dr Kim Wolff, Reader in Addiction Medicine, Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Intelligent Fingerprinting Ltd will be developing a non-invasive drug-screening device using fingerprint analysis.

Funding from the Technology Strategy Board and the company partner is enabling exciting three postgraduate Research Associate posts: Dr Nathaniel Dahan, Dr Zhiqing Wu and Dr Jaskiranjit Kang will divide their time between the College and the respective company partner.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships are funded by the Technology Strategy Board together with the company and support UK businesses wanting to improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance by accessing the knowledge and expertise within UK universities.
