King's and the University of São Paulo sign cooperation agreement in Pharmaceutical Sciences
An agreement to further academic collaboration has been signed between the School of Biomedical Sciences and Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (BMS-ISP) at King’s and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (FCP-USP), Brazil.
This five-year agreement allows exchange of teaching and research staff, graduate and undergraduate students and members of the technical and administrative staff.
The agreement was organised by Dr Paul Long and Professor Peter Hylands to enhance natural products research, but all overlapping areas of teaching and research between BMS-ISP and FCP-USP are strongly encouraged.
Dr Long said, ‘This cooperation agreement offers unique access to the rich biodiversity of Brazil for natural products discovery. USP is a key strategic partner of King’s, and with FCP-USP being the premier institution of its type in Latin America, others in BMS-IPS should take full advantage of our agreement to enhance common interests in teaching and research.
