IPS student wins New Investigator Award

Abhinav_Kumar_DDL25 Abhinav Kumar, has won the Pat Burnell New Investigator Award at the Drug Delivery to the Lungs Conference (DDL) in Edinburgh, for his research poster and presentation on ‘Inhaled nanoparticles develop a complex protein corona of biological importance’.  

Candidates for the award were shortlisted based on their submitted poster abstracts prior to the DDL conference and asked to deliver a 10 minute oral presentation in the main auditorium during the conference as part of the ‘Student posters on the podium’ session. 

The award is given by the DDL Organising Committee to the new researcher who is deemed not only to have produced the best research but shown that they understand and can explain their work, by delivering an excellent presentation. Winners receive a certificate and £500.

The DDL is Europe’s premier conference and exhibition dedicated to pulmonary and nasal drug delivery. It is organised by a sub-committee of the Aerosol Society and aims to provide an event dedicated to those with interest in drug delivery to the airways.
