About Dr Grundy
Myriam has a background in both
Biochemistry and Nutrition. She obtained an MSc in Human Nutrition and Public
Health from the London Metropolitan University in 2007. She worked as a
Research Assistant in the MRC Epidemiology Unit in Cambridge before starting
her PhD at King’s College London (2010). Her PhD project investigated the role
of cell wall in modulating lipid bioaccessiblity in almonds.
She is currently working as a
postdoctoral researcher at King’s College London on a DRINC BBSRC project
funded for 3 years, focusing on the mechanisms responsible for the
cholesterol-lowering effect of oat β-glucans.
