Dr Zaine Teixeira
Zaine graduated in Chemistry (2002) and defended her Master (2005) and Ph.D thesis (2009) at the State University of Campinas. Her Ph.D project focused on the preparation and physicochemical characterization of retinyl palmitate polymeric nanocapsules.
During a 6-month stay at King’s College London, she employed small-angle neutron scattering and freeze fracture transmission electron microscopy to investigate the structure of polymeric nanocapsules, with a grant from CAPES.
Her current research focuses on correlating the nanostructure, properties and functionalities on the macroscale of polymeric nanoparticles, self-assembled systems, as well as silver and gold nanoparticles at the Federal University of Sergipe (Brazil).
