The Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine is proud that our academics have been recognised amongst the most cited researchers in the world in the 2023 Highly Cited Researcher List from Clarivate.

Clarivate recognise a Highly Cited Researcher as an individual who has demonstrated significant and broad influence in their field(s) of research, contributing disproportionately to extending the frontiers of knowledge and gaining for society innovations that make the world healthier, more sustainable and more secure. 

The Highly Cited Researcher List is determined each year, identifying researchers who have authored multiple Highly Cited Papers™ which rank in the top 1% by citations for their field(s) and publication year. Of the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, Highly Cited Researchers are 1 in 1,000.
