
Biography
Dr Adrian Legaria is a political scientist and researcher specialising in European integration, migration studies, and international relations. He holds a PhD in International Political Economy from King's College London, where he also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the School of Security Studies and the School of Politics & Economics. His doctoral research focused on intra-European migration, with a particular emphasis on the political economy of Spain and Italy and the impact of Brexit on mobility toward the UK. His master’s dissertation likewise was focused on Eastern Europeans' involvement in the underground economy of the UK.
Adrian has taught undergraduate courses since 2023, including War in the International Order, IR History, Political Economy of Migration, Global Politics and regional political economy courses focused on Spain and Eastern Europe. His work combines theoretical insight with empirical research, reflecting his interest in the intersection of policy, mobility, and globalisation.
Outside of university, Adrian enjoys physical activity and has been involved in rowing, swimming, tennis and gym training. He also spends time reading books on Greek and Roman mythology.
