; Recreating Roman mosaics 20 May 2026 Arts & Culture An initiative run by Professor Will Wootton allows students to get involved in the recreation of mosaics at Butser Ancient Farm. In July 2022 the team reconstructed the mosaic of the hypocaust room floor and in May 2026, a 23 metre long corridor. The 2026 installation in the Butser Ancient Farm Roman Villa, based on the known remains of the villa at Sparsholt near Winchester. The mosaics, open to the public at the ancient farm were put together by a group including King's alumni and current students and mosaicists, trained and taught by Professor Wootton and the London School of Mosaic.
