From September 2026, King's is introducing AppsAnywhere on student computers across the university, making it quicker and easier to access the software you need for your studies.
AppsAnywhere provides a single place to find and launch a wide range of applications. Instead of software being installed on individual computers, you'll be able to access available applications on demand through an easy-to-use portal.
What are the benefits?
With AppsAnywhere, you'll be able to:

- Enjoy a more consistent experience across student computers
- Access new applications more quickly as they become available
- Benefit from ongoing improvements to King's digital learning environment
Where will I find it?
AppsAnywhere will be available on student computers in teaching rooms, libraries and student computing rooms. You'll see the AppsAnywhere icon on the desktop, along with information to help you get started.
Which apps are included?
The apps previously available on the Student device can now be found on the portal.
