Creative collaboration funding for PhD students

King’s Culture is launching a new seed fund open to Early Career Researchers (ECRs) from across King's to enable development of a project proposal with an artist. The scheme offers enhanced support to ECRs to develop new collaborations to advance research enquiry and public engagement with research.

This funding is intended to give the researcher and artist time to understand each others' work, explore areas for future collaboration and develop a proposal for a collaborative project.  The scheme will also offer a dedicated ‘culture surgery’ session with a member of King’s Culture to help develop the project proposal.

Alongside the fund, King’s Culture is also offering a networking event (open to all King’s researchers) to meet artists, on Thursday 25 May.

There will also be a series of workshops on Reimagining Research Through Art, exploring how to develop a collaborative creative research project:

  • Wednesday 14 June: Expanding your research horizon through art
  • Wednesday 21 June: Practising Research, Doing Research - creative approaches
  • Wednesday 28 June: Arts collaborations in practice and in context
