Get exam season ready and boost your academic skills with these study resources and tips

Giving yourself plenty of time to study and prepare is vital to exam success. To support your revision sessions and to help you approach your upcoming exams with confidence, we have brought together a variety of study resources from the King’s community and beyond.

Don't forget the basics!

Remember to check beforehand where and when your exam is taking place and arrive in plenty of time. Bring all the required equipment, including stationery and any calculators you need, and ensure you only bring minimal personal belongings.

Get exams advice

Even if you are fully prepared, there is always a chance that you could run into challenges during the exam season.

You can find useful guides on the KCLSU website with support for exams.  KCLSU also have a dedicated Advice Team who are here to support you in areas related to your academic experience. You can find out more about using the service on the website and contact them via their online form.

Try out new study and exam tips offered by your peers on Unibuddy and see which ones become lifelong practices. Check out the blogs and pick up key habits within your daily life to help you get focused, incorporate daily meditation, and write out a to-do list.

In fact, there are content sections dedicated to the topics of study and wellbeing, written for students by students. Here you can find a variety of peer advice, including how to make your life easier before exams, making study groups work and break ideas.

Enhance your academic skills

King's Academic Skills for Learning provides a variety of resources and activities to support you to develop your academic skills, whether you are an undergraduate or a postgraduate taught student.

Self-enrol on KEATS and check out the online resources in your own time, including specific assessment-focused modules on Revision and Exams and Understanding Academic Integrity.

Online one-to-one academic skills appointments are also available year-round and throughout the exam period, which you can book via KEATS.
