Comprehensive skill development

King's Edge offers activities and events designed to cater to you at various stages of your academic journey.

From the discovery phase to exploring career transitions, you can participate in workshops around job hunting, networking, coding, website building, and other specialised areas.

Empowering social impact

The next King’s Edge Festival takes place Monday 25 September - Friday 6 October 2023 and you are all invited!

The festivals serve as catalysts for amplifying existing support and resources while introducing innovative activities to enhance your wellbeing and access to enriching experiences.

Activities will showcase diverse topics such as sustainability, social initiatives, entrepreneurship, and more.

Recognition and incentives

Through the King's Edge Experience Awards program, you can get formal recognition of your active involvement in extracurricular experiences.

By taking part, you can gain essential skills critical for future career success like self-management, teamwork, empathy, and resilience.

The awards include categories across three distinct streams: service, leadership, and research. These include:

  • Champion for Change
  • King's Mentoring
  • Careers 360
  • King's Enterprise Award
  • Principal’s Global Leadership Award
  • King's Undergraduate Research Fellowship (KURF)
  • Self-Sourced Research Award.

Financial support for all

Have an idea for an educational project or initiative but not sure where to get started? The Student Opportunity Fund enables you to receive financial assistance for extracurricular activities alongside your academic endeavours.

You can take part as an individuals or as part of a group to explore innovative ideas and enriching experiences. Grants of up to £500 are provided to individuals, with grants of up to £1,000 awarded to groups.

Applications open on Monday 18 September and close Monday 6 November 2023 at midnight.
