The King’s Edge Summer Skills Programme returns for summer 2026, supercharging King’s enrichment offer with inclusive and flexible opportunities open to all students.

After a successful first year in 2025, the programme is returning to give King’s students the chance to develop practical skills, gain real experience, and make the most of the period after exams. The timing is ideal if you’re finishing assessments and staying in London, offering flexible ways to learn, explore new interests, and boost your confidence outside the classroom.
What’s on offer?
You can choose from a range of exciting opportunities, including:
- Short Active Challenges – quick, hands-on activities you can fit around other plans including: KCL Cosmology Challenge Summer 2026, Financial Reporting and Investing for Future Business Decision Makers or the Wind Powered Engineering Challenge.
- Six Week Skills Courses – develop key skills over a focused programme including (but not limited to) Welcome to Stonepit: An AI and Data Sandpit, British Sign Language and the KPRI Parliamentary Internship Scheme: Policy Lab.
- Upskill and Apply programmes – build your capabilities and put them into practice via the Young Trustee Movement, Citizen UK and Global Health and Social Medicine (COIL project).
- Project Based Internships – work on real projects and gain valuable experience through our Community and Research Programme.
