London Underground and DLR strike information

London Underground tube tunnel strike (800 x 450 px)

Planned strike action will affect Tube and DLR services between Sunday 7 and Thursday 11 September 2025.

  • On Sunday 7 September, there will be disruption across the Tube, with limited services running
  • From Monday 8 to Thursday 11 September 2025, Tube services will be severely disrupted, with little to no service expected
  • On Tuesday 9 and Thursday 11 September 2025, there will also be no service on the DLR

The London Overground, Elizabeth line, tram, bus and National Rail services are expected to run as normal. Some services will be much busier than usual and affected by station closures where they also serve London Underground lines.

Plan ahead, check before you travel and leave more time for your journey. You can find accessible routes using the TfL Transport Accessibility page and TfL Plan a Journey which can be filtered to include step-free routes, bus routes, and reduced walking options.

Visit the Transport for London website for more information about the strikes.

The University will be open as usual but some access points may be closed. Please look out for signage directing you to the nearest entrance or exit.

If you are travelling to and from campus or over these days, please check the National Rail and Transport for London websites before you travel. Buses and taxis will be very busy on the strike days and you should allow extra time for your journey.
