Sustainability Month 2023

King’s Sustainability Month will be taking place again in February, 2023!

Sustainability Month is a collaboration between King’s and KCLSU that offers all those involved an opportunity to learn more about sustainability topics, collaborate and connect with others from across King’s and #TakeAction on climate crisis.

If you’ve got an idea for an event based around one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, you can submit it via the form here.

We welcome a variety of sustainability themed events - not only environmental sustainability, but social and economic sustainability focused events too.

The three main themes to the month are:

  • Education for sustainability (with a focus on creativity)
  • Social justice (with a focus on the cost of living and energy crises),
  • Loss & damage.

The King's Sustainability Team will be in touch with you in early December to confirm if your event has been successful and will feature in Sustainability Month 2023.

London Student Sustainability Conference

The London Student Sustainability Conference (LSSC) is back again for its fifth edition in February 2023, providing a platform for students at any London University to showcase their work related to the Sustainable Development Goals via presentations or posters.

The Conference is student-led and coordinated by ten London-based universities. Students, staff, professionals, and members of the public can attend (either in-person or digitally) for the afternoon to listen and engage with students exhibiting their research and projects, followed by an early evening networking reception.

There is no Conference without you and this is a great opportunity to:

  • Share your work related to sustainability
  • Practice your presentation skills
  • Broaden your knowledge of the challenges and solutions to today's most critical issues
  • Network with students, academics and professionals from universities across London
  • Gain inspiration for your own research or dissertation projects

Visit the LSSC 23 Website to find out more about the presenting opportunities available and how to apply.

Applications close on Sunday 4 December.
