22 April 2025

The National Student Survey (NSS) is open until Wednesday 30 April 2025 for final-year undergraduates.

Have you ever thought about how you would change King’s if you had the chance? Or do you want to show recognition to your university, sharing what you have enjoyed at King’s during your time here?

King’s strongest assets, such as a sense of belonging on campus, lifelong connections, and supportive teaching, weren’t built in a day. They were shaped over decades; thanks to the exceptional and thoughtful feedback the university has received from its students.

Well, now’s your moment. The NSS is your platform to share what’s worked, what you have enjoyed, and what could be better for students after you, or what you would recommend to students who might be considering King’s.

Think back to your first day: what would’ve made things easier for you? What did you appreciate about King’s that other universities did not have? What information would’ve been a lifesaver? Whether it’s about campus life, classes, or support systems, your feedback matters.

Have your say now...

What's changed based on previous feedback?

Here's the deal: the NSS isn’t just another survey. It’s been running since 2005 and gives final-year undergraduates like you the power to create real change and highlight what is working.

Your opinions, experiences, and insights help drive changes at King’s and guide prospective students in making informed decisions.

Feedback from students like you has already led to these changes:

  • Improving wellbeing resources: Expanded counselling services and shorter appointment wait times.
  • Highlighting what works and what you have enjoyed, so that others can enjoy that too.
  • Building community: Weekly breakfasts, art clubs, and community fridges to foster connections.
  • Enhancing campus facilities: A 24/7 library, revamped gym layouts, and wheelchair-accessible lecture spaces.
  • Supporting careers: New career fairs and programmes tailored to your future ambitions.

These are just a few examples of the meaningful improvements that have been made.

By filling out the NSS, you’re helping to shape the future of King's. Plus, the survey’s anonymous, so you can be 100% real with your answers.

What’s the NSS asking about?

You’ll have the chance to rate everything from the teaching on your course, academic support, and learning resources to how well your feedback was handled. Plus, there are questions about mental health support, freedom of expression, and even placement experiences for healthcare students.

It’s all about making sure every part of university life is the best it can be. Whatever your experience at King’s has been like, we want to hear it all.

Be the change: the NSS is your safe space.

Take part in the NSS today. Help us identify what works, what doesn’t, and what needs attention.

With your help, King’s can build on its strengths and address areas that could be improved.

Complete the survey now and make your voice heard. Together, we can create a better experience for all King’s students, current and future.

Plus, here's current final-year student Jiya on why they completed the survey...

My time at King’s over the past three years has been truly wonderful, and I’ve learned a great deal both academically and personally. I completed the NSS as a way to reflect not only on my studies but also on the wider experience and sense of community that King’s has provided ... As members of a community, I believe it’s important to remain accountable - to give praise where it’s due and to offer constructive feedback where improvements can be made. The NSS provided a valuable platform to do just that. – Jiya, a final-year student who has completed the NSS.
