Care Leaver and Estranged Bursaries of £1,000 per year are available for undergraduate students who are under 25 and have experience of care or are estranged.

The College makes available bursaries of £1,000 to undergraduate students who are care-experienced or are estranged from their family.
The bursary is automatically awarded to undergraduate students with their care-experienced or estranged status verified by King’s.

Eligibility criteria
Care Leaver and Estranged Bursaries of £1,000 per year are available for undergraduate students who are under 25 and have experience of care or are estranged.
The bursary is automatically awarded to undergraduate students with their care-experienced or estranged status verified by King’s.
As well as being verified as care-experienced or estranged, students must meet the following criteria:
- Studying an undergraduate degree
- Under 25 on 1st September of the year their course starts
- Classified as a home fee payer*
*There is some discretion for those with Overseas fee status, but whose experience of care was in the United Kingdom
Application process
The bursary is automatically awarded to undergraduate students with their care-experienced or estranged status verified by King’s.
Students are encouraged to give UCAS and Student Finance England 'consent to share' their financial information with the college.
