King’s will be offering this new scholarship opportunity for current first year undergraduate students on the BA War Studies programme.
Award details
King’s College London recognises the importance of inclusivity in our diverse society and is committed to widening participation in Higher Education and improving the representation of under-represented groups, by providing support for students to fulfil their potential and succeed.
Funded by a generous donor, the War Studies Futures Scholarship will support one undergraduate student enrolled on the BA War Studies programme.
Award value
The successful recipient will receive £15,000 paid across three academic years, as follows:
- Bursary of £4,000 per year
- Faculty contribution to tuition fees of £1.000 per year
Eligibility criteria
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- be undertaking their first undergraduate degree, starting Sept 2023
- be ordinary resident in the UK and be eligible to pay Home fees
- have an annual assessed household income of £42,500 or less
- current first year undergraduate on the BA War Studies programme
- have given Student Finance England ‘consent’ to share your financial information with the College
Award conditions
Repeat years, interruptions, intercalating and study abroad years will not be covered.

Selection process

- the strength of candidates’ personal statement, and
- the applicant’s financial assessment.
