Pre-University Summer School at a glance

Students in class

The King's College London Pre-University Summer School is a unique academic and social experience designed for high school students who are enrolled in their final two years of study. Students must be aged 16 as of 1 September 2019. The programme provides the opportunity to study a chosen subject at undergraduate level and helps students prepare for their future at university and beyond.

It is an intensive two-week programme, combining academic classes, class excursions, university preparation advice and wider skills sessions. Students can also enjoy a varied social programme which takes advantage of King's enviable central London location and gives students time to relax with new friends from around the world.

The programme is designed as a two-week residential experience, with students living in King's College London accommodation, but students can attend as non-residential participants. Information on programme fees can be found on our fees page.

In 2019 we are delighted to offer two sessions of the Pre-University Summer School:

Session one:

  • Residential students - Sunday 30 June to Saturday 13 July 2019

  • Non-residential students - Monday 1 July to Friday 12 July 2019 (Monday-Friday only)

Session two:

  • Residential students - Sunday 21 July to Saturday 3 August 2019

  • Non-residential students - Monday 22 July to Friday 2 August 2019 (Monday-Friday only)

King's College London is committed to supporting the brightest minds regardless of background. Find out more about Widening Participation and our K+ and Sutton Trust programmes here.
