The Summer Society
The Pre-University Summer Society
Part of being at university is the opportunity to join a social community. University societies cover a vast range of interests and subjects from rowing to biomedical sciences, there are 100s of societies at King’s. The Summer Society gives pre-university students a first taste of what it’s like to join and be part of a society.
Social activities will be scheduled every week for students to join and have the chance to get to know other members of the society. The social activities will be scheduled in the afternoons and evenings throughout the programme and be led by current King’s students and the King’s Summer team.
We will be regularly promoting online events through our social media allowing for smaller groups within the society to meet up independently and experience London’s culture online.
The Summer Society have teamed up with King's Entrepreneurship Institute and will be offering a self-learning course in 'Developing Skills for an Entrepreneurial Mindset' in Summer 2020. The aim is to introduce King's Summer Society students to the concept of entrepreneurialism; support and develop entrepreneurial skills and to create an entrepreneurial community where experiences are shared and enhanced. Upon completion, students will understand what an entrepreneurial mindset looks like, how you can develop such a mindset and embed entrepreneurship into your DNA and, crucially, how you can use this skill set to enhance your future.
