The Lau China Institute in Collaboration with Beijing Review have undertaken joint translations of key policy announcements and speeches by Chinese officials and leaders. This project, ongoing since 2014, offers a means to see the policy priorities of Chinese politicians, and how these are communicated to the outside world. China is an intrinsically global actor, and therefore even domestic issues have an impact on the wider world. This is a means of seeing into the thinking and strategy behind Chinese positions on matters from financial reform in China, to economic policy, and international relations issues.
