Success for Black Engineers

A new programme from King’s College London designed to better support

  • Black school children in years 9 to 12 into engineering courses
  • Black undergraduate biomedical, electronic and general engineering students

Black students do not lack ability or ambition. Yet, they have lower attainment in post-16 and undergraduate engineering education. This leads to subsequent under-representation in various engineering careers.

Our vision is to change this and to have a more diverse and representative community across King’s. The Success for Black Engineers programme will kick-start our journey to achieve this positive change.

I found the Q&A session extremely useful, where all my questions about engineering were answered, and I was able to make an informed decision about choosing it as a possible future career– School pupil who attended a workshop on Routes into Engineering
