Our Department’s excellence in multidisciplinary research and teaching develops innovative biomedical engineering technologies that address the largest healthcare challenges in the world.  

We train and prepare the next generation of world leaders in biomedical engineering to help treat cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases.

  • Access to state-of-the-art facilities, such as 8 clinical scanners, including the ultra-high field 7T scanner, the first of its kind in London, allowing for faster translation of research into the clinic
