AI Centre for Value Based Healthcare

Pioneering AI technology for the NHS

The AI Centre for Value Based Healthcare is a consortium of academic, NHS and industry partners working together to build data infrastructure, deep data assets, and facilitate precision medicine at scale.

We develop AI platforms, data science solutions and digital tools that support clinicians and improve the patient experience. We focus on advanced multimodal data engineering and language AI to enable deep phenotyping for clinical research and support the development of Software-as-a‑Medical‑Device solutions and biomarkers for precision medicine.

Working alongside our consortium partners, we are training advanced artificial intelligence algorithms - developed by the NHS for the NHS – across population health, research and patient care pathways.

We deliver public sector, research-funded, and commercial projects in data provision, AI development, and deployment/validation. These include the NHS Secure Data Environment programme, and the national Genomics AI programme.

As part of our commitment to advancing secure and trustworthy clinical AI, we are also leading pioneering work in developing ethical frameworks and data governance models.

With the help of our AI experts and consortium NHS, academic and industry partners - we are harnessing the power of AI to improve clinical pathways and patient experiences and help to optimise how we use NHS resources.
