Small Grants Scheme

Do you have a great idea for a digital engagement activity? Are you keen to get experience of engaging people with research?

Funded by the Centre for Doctoral Studies and the Wellcome Trust Institutional Strategic Support Fund, PhD students, research staff and academic staff at King's are invited to apply for a small grant of up to £1000 to deliver an online engagement activity.

Deadlines for 2020-21

• Tuesday 1 December 2020 (deadline extended from 10 November)
• Tuesday 27 April 2021

Training

Applicants are encouraged to participate in public engagement training in preparation for your funding application and public engagement activities. We're offering the following sessions in November:

Creating Impact and Engagement for your Research
Monday 2, Tuesday 3 & Thursday 5 November 14:00-16:00 GMT
This course guides you step-by-step through the processes to maximise the chances of your work fostering real and long-lasting change outside of academia. For PGR students in the Health Faculties at King's.

Online Engagement Training
Wednesday 25 November 10:00-12:30 GMT
An interactive session exploring how to take your public engagement projects online and connect with audiences using digital platforms. For all students and staff at King's.
