Connections & Outreach

As the largest department of its kind in the world, the Department of Digital Humanities collaborates with many different cultural and academic institutions, industries and social organisations in the UK and all over the globe.

We have been working in the areas of digital culture and society since the 1990s, and have built up a large number of national and international collaborations over the last three decades.

To research and shape the implications of technology on contemporary society, we collaborate regularly with both industries and with not-for-profit organisations.

Besides numerous individual international activities by our distinguished academics, the Department also maintains close international academic collaborations with other equivalent departments in institutions such as the Humboldt University (Berlin), University of Maryland, Fudan University (Shanghai) and many more.
