Military Application Process

**Please note that our closed Postgraduate programmes are only available to military and civil service students enrolled on the ACSC, ICSC (L) or RCDS programmes at the Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC)/Royal College of Defence Studies. Students also have to pass an assessment to be accepted onto the Postgraduate Masters programme.**

Details of the application process

Once you start on the relevant staff course at the JSCSC/RCDS, you will be provided with a Masters brief by the King’s College London  course director. Following this brief you will be able to make a decision about whether or not to enrol on your desired Masters programme.

If you decide that you would like to complete the MA/MRes/MSc programme (subject to passing the Critical Review Essay), then you will need to apply for the programme via the King's Admissions Portal, where you will be required to set up an account. It is important that you complete this application as soon as possible, as directed by the Professional Services team.

Please note that you must apply through the portal by the deadline in order to register for an MA/MRes/MSc programme, late requests will not be accepted.

If you pass the Critical Review Essay you will be offered a place on the MA/MRes/MSc programme, which you will either need to accept or decline.

5 weeks following the CRE, you will be required to enrol on the MA/MRes/MSc. Once this enrolment process has been completed you will have access to all King's support services and the King's Library.
