Maxime Légeret

MaximeLegeret150The year I spent at King’s was a great academic experience. I attended lectures on a broad range of topics ranging from Europe and the Middle East to the political economy of oil and gas. Moreover, I was also able to attend extra-curricular seminars with prominent scholars, thinkers and politicians. I recall attending a two-day forum in Brazil with the presence of Brazil's Minister of Justice and also an intervention from François Hollande while he was running his campaign for presidency.

The MA in International Political Economy at King's definitely provided me with the tools to better understand the interaction between economics and politics in global markets. Today, I make use of those tools and analytical skills on a day-to-day basis when I analyse global markets and provide investment recommendations.

Along with the academic experience, the social side has been great as I have been able to meet and study along students from different countries around the world with who I am still in touch. Being able to build an international network is thus definitely something that I will keep from my year at King’s. After graduating, I joined a bank in Switzerland through a graduate program.
